My second post for this week is going to be some advice. Now that I have gone throught the majority of my Senior year I know that all those people who told me it goes by fast were right. You have no idea how fast it goes and if you take school seriously it is a very stressful year. My advice for underclassmen would be to take your classes seriously now because when you go to college you're paying thousands of dollars for that education and now you have everything you need to know being taught to you for free. Teachers shouldn't be disrespected. What makes you think they want to be there any more than you do, especially when you're being rude? Get all of your work done early and it will pay off. TRUST ME! Procrastination does NOT work! My other big piece of advice is to make as many memories as you possibly can. Like I said, it goes by way too fast.

  1. Sierra- first of all I have to say you have chosen a good theme, and created a nice-looking blog here. Good colors, fonts, and everything. It looks nice, which is important.

Secondly, your writing style is very straight forward and professional. I appreciate that you take the time to edit for grammar and spelling-some of us just naturally do this as we type. It's a good habit.

As for topics/subject matter, I like your approach. You will have a much easier time coming up with topics as opposed to others who have made the subject of their blogs too narrow. Keep the philosophy of writing about what interests you- so far you have chosen well. I liked the bullying response.

    Tips:
-I know you included links on your blog entries, and I would suggest going a step further and also inserting a picture or something visual to grab the audience's attention. Pictures also help break up the page and give your viewers something to look at-pictures will get people to spend more time on your page.

If you need help figuring out how to do anything with formatting, let me know. There are also good resources online.

All in all, you have the makings of an excellent blog here. Good stuff!
